Hi from Toronto this week!

I’m up in Toronto’s Junction working on my Airbnb here in the city while my daughter is at art camp. Toronto is amazing this summer and I’m loving all the new places and the post-pandemic scene! If you follow my Instagram @CharlotteDune, you’ve been seeing my Canada photos.

Next, I’ll be heading to Virginia to also work on an Airbnb I’m setting up there in my family’s geodesic dome where I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley.

Trying to get in writing too and mostly editing my new short story collection entitled, Mushroom Sex.

In lieu of an episode today, I wanted to share some free reads by other authors on Substack and point you towards my Charlotte Dune GoodReads where I share my book reviews. I just posted three new book reviews this week.

I read about a book per week, and I haven’t posted every book’s review, but I want to improve this habit, as I think it’s a nice way to collect the sum total of my reading and to see where I might tweak my habits to read more diversely.

Reading across genres and also reading authors from different nationalities and cultures is important to me.
