Hmm, that’s really intriguing ... I’m going to have to sit down and fiddle with it before I can judge, but I’ve got Stephen King’s advice in my head a lot of the time anyway, so this could be a nice addition.,
Yes. Same. I picked King because I’m so familiar with his advice that it was easier for me to judge GPTs accuracy. Don’t see myself regularly using this, but I may do it as a way to get unstuck or as editing motivation, as sometimes I don’t feel like editing.
Could be fun also to make the feedback comedic, like critique in the style of famous comedians.
Oh nice, I didn't know that. I try to rewrite myself, but with a whole novel, sometimes you just want to wrap up a section and move on and suggestions can be helpful for getting unstuck.
Thank you! I’m considering a Christmas in July pre-sale, otherwise it shall release the week of Halloween. Because it’s never too early to start a psychedelic holiday season!
I use ProWritingAid in my workflow- between first and second drafts to get quick feedback before I involve my very human editor- and I love it. This seems like an additional step I could use before involving my editor.
Have you used a tool like Grammarly or ProWritingAid before? If so, how do they compare to ChatGPT in this regard?
I’ve used and use both. Prowriting aid is very useful, but it can become time consuming if you use every feature it offers. Grammerly is great for correcting errors on the fly.
ChatGPT shines for being free, for offering actual rewrite suggestions, and for researching obscure topics. For example in my novel, one character gets frostbite. I tried researching Canadian frostbite standard medical treatment protocols on Google and spun my wheels, whereas ChatGPT pulled up different treatment standards instantly.
Haha yep. I did this more as an experiment to see if I actually could do it than to use it regularly. You could try James Patterson though. Could be a fun experiment.
Great idea, and a fun way to use Chat GPT. I'm also a shameless fan of the AI images. All around fun read here!
That’s right! Me too! Fun, fun, fun. Create, create, create. 😊
Pretty neat!

The research bit is very useful. I’m excited to give this a go.
Just so you know, ProWritingAid added a rewrite suggestion tool recently. It’s pretty good!

Exactly. I enjoy the rewrite stage.
Looking forward to your book release. The title and what I know of the premise have me intrigued.
