Love this. After receiving two as Christmas presents, last year I made an intention to wear more hats. It was a lot of fun, including a magical day spent ribbon shopping with my mum following a spontaneous purchase of a short top hat (highly recommended and a guaranteed conversation-starter with strangers). An utterly pointless focus for the year but one that enhanced my life in multiple small ways.🌟. The previous year, I determined to pay more attention to opera, after realising during a period of heightened personal emotion that I always yearned for that soul-rinsing, cathartic passion when feeling depleted. Why only then?! (That actually and bizarrely resulted in an interim role working front-of-house in an opera house, despite knowing sweet FA about music and not being musically trained - knowing only how intense arias make me *feel* - which was a wonderful, insane privilege and source of great, great joy, as well as serving a practical need.🙏🏻)
Personal preference but I try to keep loose intentions, nothing as pressured or potentially self-berating as resolutions, though. Just something to trickle a little extra pleasure and/or beauty into my everyday world and for no actual grounded reason whatsoever, really 😂🙏🏻

Hahahaha but what is he doing with the wood 🪵 chipper?! Maybe you can just sell it or give it away and someone will pick it up so no hauling is required.
Sadly I have no sordid Fargo-like tale regarding the wood chipper. Just big branches that fall (repeatedly) on our property. We used to be industrious about chipping them up and distributing the chips here and there, but for a long time now we've just let the branches lie, or used them for firewood.
(Not entirely sure why that was a winking emoji, either. Perhaps I should add ‘mindful emoji usage’ to mine this year.)
